Staffordshire Postcard: Burton-on-Trent, The Ferry Bridge and River Trent XT1969
The Ferry Bridge, an iconic landmark in Burton-on-Trent, was opened in 1889 to replace a long-standing ferry service that had crossed the River Trent for centuries. The bridge was a gift to the town from Michael Arthur Bass, 1st Baron Burton, a member of the famous Bass brewing family.
This is an unused standard size postcard. The publisher is Boots Cash Chemists and the country of manufacture is Germany (Saxony). The postcard has a curved crease at the right hand edge.
Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.
When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.
