This atmospheric architectural scene features the Grade II listed Jacobean-style gate lodge standing at the entrance to Maer Hall. The sepia-toned composition highlights the decorative Dutch gables of the stone cottage, a smoking chimney, and stately pillars with ball finials framing the wide open estate driveway.

This standard size postcard which was published by C.H. Deakin, Photographer, Newcastle, Staffs. The postcard was made in England. This postcard was posted in 1908.
