This striking view captures the grand Victorian and Edwardian architectural design of the Cliff Hotel standing prominently in the coastal resort town of Felixstowe. The multi-storey building features elegant wrap-around balconies, intricate ironwork railings, decorative bay windows, and prominent brick chimneys set behind a gated entrance and neat street-side fencing. Opened during the late nineteenth century to accommodate the influx of fashionable seaside tourists, this iconic hotel building represents the historic golden age of the Suffolk resort coast.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by Photochrom Co., Ltd., London & Detroit U. S. A. as series number 39970. The postcard was made in Switzerland. This is an unused postcard.
