This historic monochrome street scene showcases the impressive facade of the Town Hall in Chertsey. The grand civic building features a central arched entrance and upper balcony, sitting directly next door to the distinct timbered architecture of the Crown Hotel. A few early motor cars are visible further down the relatively quiet London Street, capturing a wonderful glimpse of this Surrey town's commercial center during the interwar period.
