The image captures the grand main entrance of the Portslade Industrial School for Boys, which opened in May 1902 on Mile Oak Road in Sussex. This purpose-built red brick institution was designed to reform and educate up to 150 boys from London and Brighton, often focusing on trades like tailoring, shoemaking, and farming.


This is an unused non standard size postcard. The publisher is unknown and was manufactured in the United Kingdom. The postcard measures approximately 137mm x 85mm.
