This historic topographical postcard shows a splendid real photographic view of the grand exterior frontage of Eridge Castle. The composition illustrates the extensive Gothic Revival crenellated towers, arched windows, and ivy-clad stone facade overlooking the sweeping carriage driveway. This magnificent estate served for generations as the primary ancestral seat of the prominent Nevill family, the Marquesses of Abergavenny.
