This postcard illustrates a Persian tile-panel from the Safavid period, specifically the reign of Shah Abbas I. The panel, which measures 3 ft. 7 in. by 7 ft. 5 in., is held in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum (museum number 139-1891).
