Wales Postcard: Aberconwy, Conwy, Caernarvonshire. Timbered Merchant House XT18

This vintage postcard features Aberconwy House (also known as Aberconwy), located on Castle Street in the medieval walled town of Conwy, Caernarvonshire, Wales. It is widely recognized as the oldest secular domestic building in Wales, with structural timbers dating back to approximately 1417. The image showcases its unique architecture, featuring a stone lower level and a timber-framed upper story that overhangs the street. Historically, it served as a wealthy merchant's house during the 14th and 15th centuries.
