Wales Postcard: East Road Tylorstown Rhondda Tram and Street Scene BH2127.

The image captures a vibrant early 20th-century scene of East Road in Tylorstown, a mining village nestled in the Rhondda Fach valley of South Wales. A prominent double-decker electric tram, operated by the Rhondda Tramways Company, is seen making its way along the tracks, serving as a vital link for the local community. Hand-written notes on the reverse indicate this was the most extensive tram system in South Wales, covering 21 route miles before being replaced by diesel buses in early 1934.

This is a used standard size postcard. The publisher is M. Brookes of West Street, Pontypridd and was manufactured in Germany. The postcard has very slight paper lift to the top right hand corner tip.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.

When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.

The 'Mo's Postcards' watermark does not appear on the actual postcard'.
