This vintage real photographic postcard (RPPC) features the Snowdon Mountain Railway in North Wales. The image captures a steam locomotive pushing a single carriage up the steep mountain track, with thick plumes of white steam trailing behind. The railway, which opened in 1896, remains the only public rack and pinion railway in the United Kingdom.
