This color illustration features the dramatic ruins of the Banqueting Hall at Kenilworth Castle, built originally by John of Gaunt in the late fourteenth century. The artwork showcases the impressive, high Gothic window arches enveloped in thick climbing ivy, standing adjacent to weathered sandstone fortifications and a winding dirt pathway within the inner court.
