This nostalgic social history scene captures an elderly pharmacist posing behind the dispensing counter inside H. Emile Doo's Chemist's Shop at the Black Country Museum in Dudley. Dressed in a traditional white laboratory coat, he demonstrates measuring traditional remedies at a workbench filled with medicine bottles, pill boxes, a mortar and pestle, and drawers, set against shelves densely packed with historic apothecary jars.

This is a continental size postcard which was published by J. Arthur Dixon on behalf of The Black Country Museum, located on Tipton Road, Dudley, West Midlands. The card is numbered L6/SP.10022 and was made in the United Kingdom. This is an unused postcard.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.

When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.

Any 'Mo's Postcards' watermark does not appear on the actual postcard'.
