Wiltshire Postcard: Memorial to Thomas Moore, Poet, Bromham Church XT1968.
Thomas Moore (1779–1852), Ireland's national poet and author of the famous Irish Melodies, spent the last 35 years of his life at Sloperton Cottage in the village of Bromham. He is buried in the churchyard of St. Nicholas, where this grand memorial cross was erected in his honor.
This is an unused standard size postcard. The publisher is R.Wilkinson & Co and the country of manufacture is the United Kingdom. The postcard has very very slight wear to the rear surface.
