This historic monochrome street scene captures a busy day on Queen Street in Barnsley with local shoppers on the pavements. The grand Art Deco facade of the Burton tailoring store dominates the left side of the road, while a Marks and Spencer storefront is visible opposite. The view offers a nostalgic look at the bustling commercial heart of the South Yorkshire market town during the post-war era.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by J. Salmon Ltd., Sevenoaks Salmon Series. The postcard was made in England. This is an unused postcard.
