This historic real photograph postcard captures the atmospheric interior of the Chapter House within Ripon Cathedral in North Yorkshire. The sepia-toned scene showcases a gentleman seated at a long meeting table beneath early Norman stone vaulted ceilings, illuminated by a vintage multi-globe floor lamp next to a large circular window. The historic space represents centuries of ecclesiastic assembly and architectural heritage dating back to the cathedral's medieval foundations.
